I would! we used to see chairs like this in restaurants and wonder where they got it from......Trip Trapp is great, but jeez it's almost $200!

But because of space issues we've always used boosters. We started out with the Safety First booster, later got the FP Healthy Start booster, which I looked better for some things. They've gone through 3 kids and still holding up. Right now Laurel is in the Safety First booster, and Arwyn is in an old carseat booster, lol. A relative gave it to us and we didn't have the heart to tell her it was way past expiry. Handy!

How about a regular wooden highchair like restaurants use?

We had two houses when the kids were little. One house had Tripp Traps and the other had restaurant chairs we got off ebay for $30.

The Tripp Traps obviously have a much longer lifespan. My kids used them until 9 and 7 when I finally sold them for $175 for the pair. We used them from babyhood, so that's a pretty good deal in my eyes!
