solutions for musty linen closet?

I just realized that my linen closet smells musty and makes my sheets smelly icky. What options to do I have? It's "clean" and decluttered in there, it just smells weird.

I'd probably pull everything out and wipe down the shelves, etc with vinegar and then air it out good to try to get rid of the musty smell. You could try some cedar blocks in there.

I'd want to know what was causing the musty smell, frankly, because I'm sensitive to mold.
