Default 8 month old refusing bottle and baby food

    Hi:

DS2 is 8 month old and he has no teeth.

For the past week he has been reluctant to drink formula. He refuses most of the time unless he is tired or hungry. For the past 2 days he is also refusing baby food.

For example in his day care today he refused baby food but ate pizza casserole with peas bananas. He loves eating yogurt melt and other finger food on his own.

We had his ears checked by the nurse in his daycare and she said there is nothing wrong with him. For the past few nights he has been waking up every 2-3 hours and crying. He has no fever but a very slight cold.

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this. We were considering changing his formula to see if that will help.

He could be teething. It is normal and healthy for him to reject purees in favor of finger foods/'real foods'. Babies can manage softer versions of those even without teeth.
