besides from color are boy and girls kids shoes different is comfort and safety factors? I recently saw a nice pair of shoes that I wanted to by my daughter but the salesman said the shoes were for boy. I still went one to by them but wanted to get a second option regarding the decision.

When I bought my first daughter her shoes, I got her boy shoes (navy matches everything you know). They were the same size she would have taken in the girls shoes.

basically shoes for boys and girls are the same structure but may differ in shape, size and color. Other then this, the shoe remains the same for both gender so there should be no problem of either gender wearing the opposite genders shoes.
