DS had his party today, and he got some wonderful gifts. His very favorite one, though, wasn't even the main present. It was the little add on gift. It was a regular flashlight (2 C batteries required) that came with three colored disks that could fit over the light. Each disk had a black line drawing of a dinosaur. It was kind of like this:

but bigger with only three colored disks. I thought I'd tell you all about it, because I can see no reason why you couldn't make something very similar to this toy by printing your own designs on gels or overhead projector film. My son is sleeping with this flashlight tonight. He loved projecting the dinosaurs onto the walls and ceiling of his room. This is a winner!!!

Cool! I bought one a while ago and put it away for DS. I'll get it out for Christmas.
