Default Getting Sharpie off a Pumpkin?

DH really should have used a pencil when "sketching" our Jack-o-Lanten's face. Which act, by the way, impressed 20 month old DS not at all. When we started hollowing out the pumpkin, DS ran away with a spoon and played happily by himself. When asked several times if he wanted to touch it, he said, resolutely, "No."

Pumpkin carving fail. Maybe salvageable if someone can help me clean off the magenta Sharpie stray marks?

Straight up acetone (in some nail polish removers) works best. Rubbing alcohol is a good second option.
