Count me in among those who are so impressed with the strength and grace with which you've handled all this. Those other would-be friends, it is ultimately their loss, hopefully you will know who your true friends are from now on and that will be an additional source of strength.

You may also be a role model for those who are going through or will go through a trauma of their own, and proof and encouragement that they can get through it.

I am amazed at your strength and can only hope that if I ever must go through any sort of trauma I can be half as strong as you are right now.
