Default almost 5 yr old DD!

I decided to go with the Want/Need/Wear/Read theme this yr.

Want: 2 Barbie Dolls w/clothes (Santa will give!)
Need: Drink cups- got her some more "grown up" ones- Contigo- as she struggles with straw tops.
Wear: new Carter's PJs and HA slipper socks
    Read: Personalized Christmas story

I have a book that little sister will be giving (she's almost 4 mos old!) to DD.

Here is my idea list for grandparents:
    CD player
Books with CD to follow along (Sheep in a Jeep, James Herriott Treasury, Splat the Cat, Big Words for Little People, Fancy Nancy)
    unitard/leotard for dancing
    kid size hooded bath towels
    Ravensburger puzzles
    Games- What's Gnu, Farkle
Pop up tent for in the house (to build forts with!)
Gift cards to HA or Gymbo for spring clothes

Of course DD's birthday is also at the end of january!

Thanks for the suggestion; I'll check it out! With two boys and a girl in the house, always on the lookout for games that appeal to both.

This looks great - and we live in Canada so I can get it from Lee Valley! I'm adding it to the list

This year DS will be getting:
-an Ipad and new ski boots from the IL's (they're being incredibly generous this year)
-some Playmobil and a contribution to his college fun from my dad
-from my mom, who knows? She buys great stuff, but she's forgetful so I hope we don't already have it.

    From us:
    -some type of Lego
-Playmobil cement mixer and snow cat
    -felt food
-plastic forms to make snow bricks http://www.amazon.com/Flexible-Flyer...ords=sno+brick
-chapter books....still trying to figure out which ones
    -the ubiquitous...art supplies
    -a custom teddy
-still looking for a good puzzle or two
-some sort of charitable (animal) donation such as Heifer International

DS has been asking (every.single.day) for the Imaginext Samurai Castle
My parents got him the Eagle Talon Castle to keep at their house.

He's also getting the Ogre and probably the dragon
He's *really* into Imaginext right now.

I want to get a 100 pc. set of Magnatiles or Magformers. I'm also thinking of that EZY rider that OP posted and a watch, probably a Lego one.

Santa will also bring an ornament for the tree, books, new Christmas PJs, and various other little things.

DS just bought hexbug warriors stadium at Barnes and Noble. It is a big hit. I might get him more warriors.

Thanks! I love that popup book, so beautiful! I really wanted an unabridged version though, and ended up going with the original illustrations. DH can't wait to read it with Dd1.

*Nerf guns, specifically the Lumitron (discs glow in the dark) and the Proton (regular green discs). We are getting these for our kids and and for another family too. Nerf never gets old for our kids.

*Hess trucks for all the boys. They look awesome this year, even DH wants one to play with the kids (he is a little kid at heart). The Hess truck is #1 on DS1 Christmas list this year. http://hesstoytruck.com/

*Books: Ninjago Lego book for DS2:http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Ninjago-C...ywords=ninjago
    Not sure about DS1 yet...

*Lego Star Wars PC game for DS1 and DS2: http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Star-Wars...r+wars+pc+game

*Leapster 2 for DS2:http://www.amazon.com/LeapFrog-Leaps...rds=leapster+2 . We have an old Leapster but now the boys are both wanting to play at the same time and we were able to get a bunch more games at Five Below. I know it will get a lot of use in our house.
