Which came first...Potty training or transition to a big kid bed?

We PT'd at 2.5 (daytime only) and switched from crib to bed at exactly 3.

DS was nighttime trained around 3.75 yo IIRC.

DS was potty trained at 33 months (almost 3 years old) and did not move to a big bed until 5 or 6 years old. By then he was an expert at climbing in and out of the crib :-) We did not pull up the side up after he was potty trained.

Our boys all moved to big-kid beds well before they were potty trained. DS1 moved to a big kid bed shortly after his second birthday (to make the crib available for DS2) and DS2 and DS3 moved out of the crib at around the same age. All three boys PTed around or shortly after their third birthdays, DS1 wore pull-ups at night all through kindergarten, DS2 night trained around 4 1/2, and DS3 at almost 3 1/2 wakes up with a dry pull-up about 20 percent of the time.

DD1 was day time potty trained at 32 months before we switched to a big girl bed at 3 years, 3 months. she didn't need a diaper during naps after the first couple of months. she still soaks her diaper at night and seems to be a pretty deep sleeper, so i think it will be a while.

DS day and night trained about 2 wks ago, at 3 yrs 1 mo. One afternoon he decided to put on undies, and that was it...no more diapers day or night. He is still happily sleeping in a crib. He wet the bed once (yesterday) b/c he slept til 10 am!

Big kid bed, both times. My oldest moved to a bed at 28 months and PT'd at exactly 3 years old. My youngest moved at 23 months and also PT'd right after 3.

Eta: youngest is still not night trained, though he sometimes gets up at night.

Both my girls were pt'd by 2yo so for us, it was potty training that came first. The girls transitioned out of the crib after they turned 2.5yo.

We converted ds' crib to a toddler bed at abou 20 months as he was climbing. Sigh. He wasn't day time potty trained until about 3 years, 3 months. He wore diapers at night for at least a year after that.

DS is 2.5 and just moved to a big boy bed a couple weeks ago. He is not potty trained.
