I'm ISO a small-ish purse to hold wallet, keys, sunglasses, phone and a small pack of Kleenex when I run to the store or short trips out of the house. I'm open to a shoulder strap or cross body or wristlet style. Want to spend under $50-ish. Any recs?

I like LeSportSac. It's light and roomy. If you get one of the smaller ones you can get them for under $50. The medium ones for around $50. They have some on Zappos to look at.

I don't have a go to bag but on a recent grocery shopping trip I was trying to hold my bag while picking vegis and was getting very agitated. Leaving my bag in the cart even if it is right next to me was not an option because the store was so busy. I realized that over the summer I had bought a small cross body bag to test out how I liked that style since I was never one for cross body bags in the past. I love the convenience and ease of use when shopping. Mine was barely big enough for my wallet so I used to just throw in my credit card and license into the zipper pocket. I was just thinking that I need to "trade in" my nice Juicy bag that I bought myself as a special treat for a cheap cross body bag!

I'm not a purse person and am mostly interested in function rather than looks, but I got this one for Christmas last year and have been happy with it. I use it cross-body mostly so that I don't have to worry about it, and it's big enough to carry everything that I need. The only way they could improve it is to have a more attractive material for the strap (it's a rather utilitarian belt strap material), but it doesn't bother me to wear it at all.
This is larger than a wristlet size, but they probably have smaller versions. I like the option to fit more in when needed though.Last edited by indigo99; 11-27-2012 at 02:29 PM.

You just described the entire contents of my purse, so I am going to suggest this style of Vera Bradley bag which I use- Hipster. It is also a style which I happen to see other women of all ages carrying.
