Is it boring to get the plain classic infant boy shoe in navy, or should I get red Elmo? (newborn)

I dont want to overbuy but maybe get DS just one pair. Leaning toward navy plain in 0-6. Do you even put kids in robeez at 0-6? or would 6-12 be better?

Both my boys were summer babies, and they didn't wear Robeez until the winter, when it was something to keep their feet warm(er). Also, once they started crawling it was good to have something protect their toes when crawling on rougher surfaces. So 6-12 would probably be best!
