Default Looking for pretend play toys "school"

Hi everyone, I am Christmas shopping for my nephew and I am having trouble finding what I am looking for... he is 2.5 yo and has cerebral palsy. I want to get him (at the suggestion of his Mom) some toys that will help him "play school". I am seeing tons of stuff to play store, but I haven't really found something for playing school. Do you have any suggestions you could pass along? Either specific items, or an online catalog? (or possibly a B&M store if near No. NJ) I was thinking maybe a felt/magnetic/white board, some magnetic letters, felt "stories" if I can find them... not sure what else. Finger crayons? (I will have to mail the items too, so nothing huge, since we do not live close by...)

Thanks for any ideas you can pass along!!
    I really appreciate it!

Maybe you can find a Little People Time to Learn Preschool somewhere? Maybe CL? http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Little-.../dp/B000EQHIY6

Thanks for the idea WatchingThemGrow! It looks so cute (if I can find one at a reasonable price, LOL) and he would love the interactive parts.

I bought a little PBK backpack, too, and I want to fill it with whatever little "school" presents I can fit in there too!

This set might be a little old for a 2 year old, but it is for playing school.

I would read that as, things that make his environment seem school like?

    calendar http://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Learn...sroom+calendar

Or alphabet cards to hang on the wall. We have these: http://www.amazon.com/Eeboo-Around-L...+wall+hangings

Construction paper, crayons and scissors http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-C...=baby+scissors) plus a way to hang his creations. We have http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20079342/

    A wall map or globe?

They have a school/teacher supply section at Dollar Tree. I have gotten some things there for my nieces who love to play school.

Maybe some of the learning toys or a wall chart from Lakeshore Learning store (www.lakeshorelearning.com; there may be a B&M store near you). Also lots of fun things at Therapro, like these language cards maybe, for playing a "school game?" http://www.therapro.com/Language-Card-Tins-C307848.aspx

Chalk and a chalkboard is fun for playing school too. You could get some sidewalk chalk while you're at it too.

Ikea has some great inexpensive kid's scissors. They also sell an inexpensive art easel and big paper roll that is fun for playing school.
