Default Fondue - favorite dippers and any loved recipes

I host an annual post-holiday "whine and cheese" party. Main food involves cheese and chocolate fondue. I have some standard recipes, but looking for some new ones to try for the fondue.

I usually have people bring dippers and end up with a great variety, but this year I'm providing everything. What's your favorite item to dip in cheese and/or chocolate?

in addition to PP's suggestions for cheese, I'd add a summer sausage/salami-type meat maybe?

Pineapple is great in chocolate fondue.

    Chocolate-

    Cake, apples, bananas

Thanks so much. I usually get such creative things from others but was blanking.

Yes, I have a fondue pot and borrowed several others. Will end up with two or three cheese and two chocolate dips.

Not to hijack your thread, but would you mind recommending your pot?

Do you need separate ones for chocolate and cheese?

We did Brussels sprouts, broccoli, potatoes, bread, and mushrooms into cheese and strawberries, kiwi, dried apricots, and marshmallows into chocolate this year. Yummy!

Pretzels! Could actually work for both cheese and chocolate.
