DS and I started in on the garage today...yes DS. He was begging me to hurry up and get started - wish he would be like this when I tell him to clean up his lego.

    Anyway we did:

3 huge boxes in car to take to recycling (too big to cut down for recycling bin)
    Filled recycling can
    Filled Trash can

    Tomorrow: (I'll report back)
I'm dropping off old carseat (still w/i expiry date) to carseat tech that I know
Someone from freecycle is picking up 2 bags full of cloth diapers
List 2 outgrown bikes on craigslist (need to get photos)
    List play kitchen on craigslist
List DH's old bike on freecycle (not worth it to sell as 15 years old but still fine)
List Old Grill on freecycle (still works, but really old)

I stil have a lot to go, just in the garage let alone the house, but it's a start.

i'm another whose getting rid of years and years of girls clothes i'm committing to consigning this stuff FOR REAL this time. i think i have 10 bins of it...plus the random bags and boxes of it. why? why? why?

    and toys.

    it's pretty sick.

i did finally get rid of a bag of hangers, so guess what i'm going out and buying for the consignment sale? uncool! (and i think part of my hoarding problem in the first place....)

So we are giving them tons of matching clothes and some toys (doubles, of course). The same thing happened last year, we found out about twins that had been abandoned with next to nothing. It's so fun to share things with someone who really needs them (and especially knowing our double items are going to be enjoyed by siblings).

So, I'm going to say 60 items.

Passed along a few things to my neighbor who is having TWINS!

Changing pad cover, jumperoo, bumbo with tray, diaper pail, car mirror.

    Default well begun....

    is .018% done---

37 stained baby clothes items i've been keeping for 5 years! ick. gross. in my defense, i'm sure they didn't look like that when i kept them (mystery yellow stains!)....but still ! gross. some of these are so thin and yucky i'm sure i wouldn't have used them on hypothetical baby of the future anyway. but i guess in my "i still have an infant" haste, i just kept everything

these were only the things that were deemed too icky for an oxyclean bath. bleck. i have lots of other stuff in the "still hopeful" pile that might end up toss. i have about 20 things ironed on hangers- that's for a consignment sale. i've been doing laundry like a maniac today

(oh...and counting that "trash" was COMPLETELY embarrasing... i can't believe i have 37 cheapie gross little baby items to throw away-- and that was just being gentle with myself-- i have piles and piles of onesies-- i had ONE baby- why?)
