Default Have you seen First Communion dresses anywhere?

Today I hit JCP, Macy's, Nordstrom Rack, TJMaxx and Marshall's. only Macy's had some, and they weren't right. (Overpriced, too mature, etc..)

Last year I got D1's dress at... I can't believe I'm going to say this... Costco for under $20 (I had a day pass). It was gorgeous, and had a similar look to her baptism dress. Both DDs have asked that DD2 not wear this one, that would be way too easy!

Anyone seen white dresses a Costco, or anywhere else? I'd probably join if they had a nice one again. Not that it matters, since they wear a robe over the dresses anyway. She could go in her pjs.

I haven't been in there in a while - but in the past our JCP has had them.

Wow - really? Know they're totally remerchandising, but this seems like something silly to stop.

Do you have a Hispanic dress shop in your area? I'd look on yelp.

I would look at JC Penney, and Nordstrom online.

I wore the same dress that my mom, and one of her sisters wore, and then my sister wore it. I am hoping that one of my DDs will be able to wear it, but DD1 is a string bean and at this point I am not sure it is going to work (plus it will be almost 60 yrs. old so not quite in style anymore). I don't see the harm in rewearing them.

I will look at Costco, but I haven't seen any dresses that are all white yet.

I saw them at Nordstrom recently. They were just a hair less expensive than my wedding gown.

Try bridal gown stores. I bought DD her First Communion dress at David's Bridal yesterday. They had a section for flower girl dresses.

That's the other thing. Having paid $20 for a gorgeous one at Costco, I now have sticker shock. 30% off a $115 dress at Macy's is still alot for something to wear (under a robe!!) for a few hours.

Although, DD1 went to a father/daughter dance tonight and is wearing her dress. So maybe she can get more use out of it.

Do you have a Filene's, Burlington coat factory or Century 21? I've seen them there.

I'd try Burlington Coat Factory. I haven't been in one in at least a year but they usually have tons of communion and Easter dresses this time of year. Many years ago, I actually bought my flower girl's dress there -- and they had racks and racks of choices.
