Children's Place has two (online only) for about $50:

Haven't seen them in person but much more appealing than Nordstrom prices!

Although, DD1 went to a father/daughter dance tonight and is wearing her dress. So maybe she can get more use out of it.
they wear a dress under a robe? I have never heard or seen that before. What is the point of the dress then? Photos?

First of all, this is why I love the BBB! Thank you!

Unfortunately, the one I wanted is OOS in her size. I might try calling and see if they have rec'd any returns. Hey, it works for Boden!

We got DD's at Sears last year, they were all 50% off by the end of March (but maybe are already "on sale" - I don't know how they run their sales).

We just went through the whole experience and spent a fortune. my dd had a surgery that was unsuccessful 2 months ago and really felt sorry for her. She trued a dress on that made her feel like a princess...then I looked at price. Totally wrong order-lol. We then ordered a matching doll dress for her AG from Etsy. Her dress is from Cristie Helene and it was custom made for that store. But, they do have an online clearance section.

I would also look at Kohls online. I thought there were a few nice ones. I may even look at them for Easter dresses. But, my wallet is still recovering.

Update: Got a very pretty one at Burlington Coat Factory for $19.99, last one in her size!

AnnieW - I have NO idea what the point of the robe is. I think it's left over from long ago when maybe not everyone had a nice dress to wear? The boys wear them too. We have to pay to rent them ($12). It's ANNOYING.
