DD1 (age 11, 5'2", thin, size 8 women's shoe) likes to shop at Old Navy, Gap, Crew (Crew Cuts sizing), and Dillard's. Our Off Saks 5th Ave store had a cute selection of colored Joe's Jeans. I agree that layering is the way to go for lower neck lines. DD1 likes the cotton tanks from Old Navy (she does not like polyester camisoles). Her friends are shopping at Abercrombie and Fitch but I have yet to take her there.
Sorry but minibdoen does not make sizes above 11/12 any more. My 9 year old daughter is the same size and we are doing Target, LLbean, Gap, Crewcuts and ON these days. She liked more sporty or nature-oriented stuff (not tweeny) and LLBean has some really cute stuff for spring. She loved it all and they go up to 18 so mama is happy.
They have a junior line, Johnnie B.Sorry but minibdoen does not make sizes above 11/12 any more.

Yes, Johnnie B is nowhere near as cute!! We have found a few things there after dd hit the preteen years and refused to wear certain styles.
