Default What are your kids wearing for Easter?

I think DD2 will wear the Hanna cakefair baby dress (LOVE! so glad I saved DD1's!) with white long sleeves underneath, white tights and maybe light pink shoes? Gold MJs? I also have a gymbo tulip dress she could wear.

DS - I was thinking dark skinny jeans, white dress shirt and suspenders, but I'm not sure.

DD1 - I have no idea. I feel like the Easter dresses I'm seeing are too cutesy for her. What are others doing for their 7y/o+ girls? Thinking maybe about a skirt & cardi? It's still chilly here, temps in the 30s and 40s.

DD is wearing either this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/PETIT-AMI-Mi...item5653c21274 or this one in short sleeves http://www.ebay.com/itm/GORGEOUS-PET...item35c3794988 with a white cardigan sweater.

DSs are wearing either white polos or perhaps yellow and seersucker pants/shorts or khaki shorts/pants weather depending.

Such pretty dresses! DD2 wore a similar dress last Easter, and I thought about doing another smocked dress this year. Love seersucker too - we've done that for DS in the past but it really is too cold here at Easter time.

Crazy, but DD got a George (walmart house brand!) dress from the last consignment sale for $5 and a Talbot's Kids sweater to go over it for $6. Her shoes were SR never worn white closed toe with a tiny heel for $7. She is thrilled. Boys will have white Talbot's button downs, perhaps with the suspenders they are wearing to a wedding, but maybe I'll add ties.

DD1 (8 yo) is wearing this Children's Place dress. I'll probably have her wear a pink shrug (same color as in the dress) with it.

DD2 (5) is wearing a dress from the Gap, that's navy with a cream lace overlay. I don't see it online anymore, but I just got it at the store. She'll wear a shrug, too, but not sure what color. If I go with pink, I'm afraid they'll end up too matchy-matchy (but then, what's the harm in that, I guess?)

My DD had that same dress in your first link when she was a baby. It was a favorite of mine. So sweet.

I actually really liked gymboree's choices this year, they were even prettier in the store/on-- very twirly! we throw a party, are going to a brunch at our garden, and doing the easter egg roll monday-- so i'm glad i picked up two dresses because i couldn't decide.

my first choice was the "family look" -- dd is 5 , so i thought it would be fun to match (next year she'll probably be too old for that)...i can't find the girl dress online anymore (???) but here is the mom dress:

    http://www.gymboree.com/shop/dept_it...ed=0&fit_type=

the girl style is sleeveless with a full skirt. she'll have a cardie (most likely white as we have one already), white tights and silver shoes, and this hat from janie and jack:
    http://www.janieandjack.com/shop/dep...SizeSelected=0

i also bought this yellow dress:
    http://www.gymboree.com/shop/dept_it...ed=0&fit_type=

and then this sweater (because it fulfilled her "bunny with flowers" requirement... our party theme is "bunny in a garden)-- because it's little girl (sized 5T) we're still on the fence about keeping it...it just fits, and i'm sure it coordinates...but..."loosely"---

i think we can still get away with the silver shoes. i was going to let DD get these white ones (as an incentive to get the white/blue dresses when she really liked the others better...):

but we tried them on in the store and they didn't fit right...so we skipped them (woosh)

if i had a baby....*sigh* this for sure:

i'd have that whole "pretty pansies" line. cutecutecute-- the bonnet? Swoon!

Well, since we don't usually make a big deal out of Easter, DD will likely not be dressed up.

However, my dad is getting remarried the weekend before, and I bought her a sherbet orange cotton dress with a tulle overskirt from Gap - it's not online, but it was displayed in the same collection as the watercolor circle dress they're showing.

I'll pair it with her white shrug from last year (I bought it big) and probably the white eyelet Hanna tights I bought her for Christmas if I can't get out before the event, as it's still cold here as well, though that could change.

I want to get her white patent Mary Janes, but that will depend on my getting out to the Stride Rite outlet sometime soon.

If we do anything on Easter, I have my heart set on having her wear the yellow calico dress my mother sewed for ME when I was around her age. I'll have to replace the buttons, but other than that, the dress is in good shape.

I think I found the pattern online a few weeks ago, but I haven't searched for it lately.

DH is going to be out of town on Easter Sunday this year and it will be a miracle for me to get everyone dressed and out the door on time for church.

If we do get there, DD is probably going to wear this Persnickety Picnic Dress and I'll try to find coordinating clothes for the boys. Probably a grey shortall for DS2 and DS1 will wear his grey suit with a coordinating tie.

Ohhhhhhh! We had this dress!!! It was one of the first HA things I bought, second hand. Lula wore it all the time, then Dolly. It was one of the very few things I kept from Lula, because for a long time we thought we couldn't have a 2nd LO so keeping stuff made me sad. But giving this one away almost broke my heart. It went to a really, really, really lovely family. Thanks for the photo, it made me smile!!!
