    Default Best leafy salad recipe?

I am going to a pot luck BBQ tomorrow for the 4th and am supposed to bring a leafy salad. Any great recipes anyone can share?

My favorite is also a southwestern salad. Use any ingredients you want (in addition to lettuce) - I use tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, black beans, avocados, etc. For the dressing I do a mix of ranch and bbq sauce (about half and half). And the best part is the Fritos on top. Crush them up and toss them on top right before serving so they don't get soggy. Something about the combination of the bbq salad dressing and the Fritos...it's sooooo good.

I ended up making this one (I had the ingredients) and it was wonderful although I have the ingredients for the southwestern salad on my grocery list (basically I need fritos) Thanks for the recommendations!

I love a salad with spring greens with balsamic vinaigrette and honey dressing and with dried cranberries and feta cheese. Sooo good. If you're interested, I can find a recipe link for you.

    we like this a lot - http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/missys-...ad/Detail.aspx

i use white balsamic vinegar and way less sugar for the nuts - usually double the nuts, but still cut the sugar by about half.

    very yummy

Not the OP, but I'd love the recipe link!
