    No idea the age-range, but DD absolutely loves Endless Alphabet - it's a letter-matching/spelling/vocabulary game with animated definitions of really interesting words.

    Now that she's been learning her letters, she spells out the words in the correct order more often.

    Dunno if it's only iOS, but I hope not; it's a great app!

    The developer of Endless Alphabet has released Endless Reader. I haven't tried it out yet, but it was free!
