    Default Would it be crazy...

Would it be crazy to buy twin bedding for my 8 month old's eventual "big girl" bed now? The only reason I am thinking of doing it is b/c we plan to have her share a bedroom with DD1 and I found bedding at PBK that would coordinate with DD1's bedding nicely. If I wait, I'm not sure they will have it then.

There is a chance that she will not share with DD1, so I'm not sure what to do.

I say if you like it, get it. If your luck is anything like mine, when I comes time and you need it, you won't be able to find anything.

I bought some way ahead once. We ended up being tired of it, so we use it on the trundle. Oh, and our plan changed and we got a different sized bed as well.

You're not crazy! Buy it when you find it. The chance may not come again!

If you know someone else who could use the sheets just in case you decide to go another route, I say go for it.

People can always use sheets "just in case" - I offered all my twin sized bedding to my aunt for my cousins (she has 5 children) when I bought a full bed & didn't have plans to continue to use the twin.

There's always someone who can use it!

I did. I bought DS1's twin quilt when he was still in his crib. I never got tired of it and he used it on his bed from age 3 until we moved him to the former guest room 2 weeks ago, which has a queen bed. I still like the bedding so much that when I saw someone list the same quilt in queen on ebay for $50, I bought it! Now all of his accessories still work and if we ever have him share with DS2 we will be set with bedding for a twin over full bunk bed.
