Default Congestion in a 22 month old

DS has a nasty cold complete with snotty nose that we have to wipe every 5 minutes! poor guy He is having such a hard time sleeping because it gets worse when he lays down. I have given him motrin tonight for any aches he may have and I tried a humidifier last night but it was a bust because he was so interested in turning the dials that I couldn't get him to bed and finally just took the humidifier out of his room.

Any great tips/tricks to help us survive??

Try to figure out some way to use the humidifier. It really helps. Also, Vicks helps. I think putting on their feet is an urban legend, just put it on his chest like the directions say. The vapors really help. Have you tried saline nose drops?

Bath right before bed. Put a rolled towel under the mattress to elevate the head. Ask your doctor about Benadryl. It does not work for every kid. The humidifier should help.

I am trying Vicks, and it does seem to be helping! Thanks!
