Never argue with an idiot. He'll bring you down to his level, then beat you with experience.

I would have said something for sure. I also would have deleted the comment. Did you do that? (I only read OP and am responding to that)
What a dumb, dumb, dumb thing to do by that woman.

If I had seen the photo and the comment before reading this thread, I likely would have said the same thing I did....it was just a really strange and rude thing for her to say. No matter who posted the photo, blatantly comparing kids looks? RUDE!
I think you handled it perfectly. That was an incredibly rude comment.
i think you handled this really well... i had something like this happen before when my cousin commented on a picture i posted of my brother's children and said "brother'sname, your kids are the cutest!" or something like that. i didn't even tag my brother/his wife, it was just a picture of his family i posted on my facebook (in an album with tons of family pics, including TONS, of course of my own child which she didn't comment on).... i thought it was so strange that she'd choose MY facebook to compliment someone elses kids.
now, my cousin was young (and completely understands how fb works ) and my brother's kids are cute (of course) , so, i just had to let it go. obviously i didnt' do a great job --because i still remember!
i LOVE those picture of preschool friends-- i bet all the kids were totally adorable (and i'm also reminded on the comment from my aunt when i posted a video from ps graduation--she said "i feel sorry for the rest of the children when myDD so obviously was the star" it was just a silly auntie comment, she doesn't know the other kids and was trying to make me feel good )
