My kids like to dip chicken nuggets in honey. However, if you get them from a restaurant, be careful. Wendy's has, "fake" honey.

Mine both dip in sweet and sour sauce, my nephews dipped theirs in honey.
PPs suggested the same things I would suggest. If he tolerates or likes avocado, you can also blend the ranch with some avocado (could also add cumin depending on his taste buds). That way you get more overall nutrition with it. You could also try adding olive or coconut oil (melted) to whatever dip you are serving. Just a bit extra to soup it up with some additional fat calories...stir it in before serving.

my kid, who doesn't "dip" in general, is WILD for chik fil a sauce. that stuff is CRAZY caloric !!! our local place sells big tubs of sauce.
ranch dressing also came to mind. and my child also really likes sour cream.
I wish there something. Mine will not eat chicken nuggets, hot dogs, corn dogs, anything quick
