You sure can. Most people can benefit from strengthening their transverse abs. The key with Tupler though is you need to splint the diastasis and do the exercises. I'll be honest, splinting was a PITA, but it really did work. I think doing both is very key.

Truthfully I think a large number of fitness professionals are unfamiliar with a diastasis. I'm a physical therapist and there was only passing mention of it in my bachelor's/master's program, unless you enrolled in an optional women's health module.
