Packing for week long beach vacation - flying

I have seen several threads about what to bring for a week at a vacation rental--but they all revolve around packing the car. We are leaving soon for a family beach vacay, and we are flying, so I won't be bringing any coolers . There will be 6 adults and our 3 yo. I started making a list and so far I have spices, ziploc bags, and splenda. Help! What should we try to bring vs buy when we are there? One example--the rental doesn't have beach towels--should I tell every adult to bring one, or hope to get cheap ones down there? TIA!

We just got back from a weeklong vacation and were super frustrated that the rental didn't have beach towels- we ended up having to buy ridiculously expensive towels from the local general store because we didn't have any options. So I would suggest bringing your own unless you know that there's a Walmart or something similar you can get to because it still annoys me that I paid for beach towels when I have a ginormous stack of them at home
