Default *update in 1* Ribs..oven or crock pot?

Never made ribs before and I'm not a big meat eater at all so I need help. I'm making Hoisin and Honey Glazed Baby Back Ribs (steamy kitchen cookbook) but I would love to do the cooking in my crockpot on low. Would that work? I also don't want to mess up this $30 worth of meat so tell me what you think....crock put or oven.

    ************************
Update...went with the oven. 300 degrees for about 4 hours in a dutch oven. Came out AMAZING!!!!!!
Made this hoisin honey glaze http://www.thenearestfuture.blogspot...-cookbook.html and I'm a rockstar tonight!!
BTW..the recipe says face spice...it's not. It's five spice.
    Make this!!

We always do crock pot then put on a foil lined sheet pan under the broiler for a minutes to crisp the edges.

Before we had a grill, dh would do low and slow in the oven. I'd have to ask but it was something like 200 for several hours, and then higher to brown at the end. The recipe was basically how to bbq in your oven. It seems like you'd achieve the same thing by doing what the PP suggested.

I think oven as well. DH makes awesome ribs that start in the oven in a beer "braise" (lots of beer!), move to the smoker for flavor, and finish on the grill for texture. Waaaay too much work for most people, but they turn out better than any ribs we've ever had (including the ones from the Rib competitions we've gone to with national prize winners who grill them low and slow for hours).
