LOL! I only poke you because of the irony of these "Hanukkah" gifts.

LOL! I know. I'm such a bad Jew. I actually asked DH "is it bad if I get her Christmas stuff for Hannukah?" and he responded "Really? This is the point where you worry about crossing the line?"

    That is hysterical.

Well, you know I'm debating whether to combine the Hanukkah dinner I host with a come help us trim my tree event. Says the agnostic with the atheist DH.

I have no idea what we'll be getting DD, though I think she might like the Grinch movie! No need for us to get the book - I have my childhood copy plus an extra that I bought at Kohls ages ago for a "just in case" Christmas gift.

I'm planning on either Legos or more Duplos - I can't decide, though she's stopped putting things in her mouth so the Legos would be fine.

We might get action figures, as she's really into the Duplo and Little People figures she has, but I don't know if I really want to keep track of them.

It's just that, well, she has SO MUCH stuff that I'm getting overwhelmed.

This is me too. I just don't want more stuff that will clutter the house and sit ignored for a while, played for ten minutes, and then, ignored for several months. I would love to save the money and go on an impromptu trip in the winter but I can't seem to convince DH.
I have no clue what I'm getting my kids aged 2 and almost 4 at Christmas. We get them books and puzzles year round.
I was hoping to do a book per day for the advent but that doesn't really cover Christmas. At this age though, would they care or even realize?

I told all my kids that they are getting bathrobes, fuzzy slippers, and a set of books. I'm so tired of toys. Now I just need to find a set that is suitable for a 3 year old.
