    Thanks for reporting back! I stopped buying pork loins for a while because the only thing I knew how to do with them were brine and grill.

    I tried the pork and apple recipe and the whole family HATED it. .

    OP, in your update you noted that your previous crockpot would have ruined the meat. I'm thinking I have a bum crock pot. The juices in the pot were boiling on low last night. Is that normal? I'm scared to attempt to cook anything else in the crock pot besides beans. The meat last night was dry, hard, and had no flavor.

    maybe i missed it...but can yuo please post the recipe? id love to try it!

    and for the pp, about the crock pot...you can also cook in a dutch oven, if you have one. i think it cooks much better then my crock pot does

    No it's not normal. I think you need a new crockpot. The liquid was not boiling on low.

    Does this have a sweet taste? My family hate sweet things in the meal. If not I want to give it a try.

    I wouldn't call it sweet, more like balanced (the sugar and the vinegar)
