I bought this book (Star Wars Jedi Academy) earlier in the year for DS1. Both he and his little brother really liked it. This is the same author who wrote "Darth Vader and Son". According to CCC this is the lowest price yet. It would make a great stocking stuffer!

How old is your DS1? Mine is 10 and I think he would like this even though he'd finish it in a few hours. I think I like your idea of it being a stocking stuffer! It looks similar to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books and he loves those. Do you have to read the "Darth Vader and Son" book first or is it not really a series that has to be read in order?

DS1 is also 10. Once the kids started reading the book they couldn't put it down. They even got DH to read it and he said it was really good too. The book is written in comic book style which initially put DS1 off- he was used to more traditional written stories, but once he heard his 7yo brother laughing at the jokes he couldn't wait to pick it up.

Also, this is a stand alone story, no need to read the other book.

Funny you mention this! We were at Legoland at the end of August and both of my boys really wanted to win minions as well! I think DH spent $30 trying! I remember mentioning at the time that it would probably be cheaper to just order them from Amazon!

So you got two minions? I see your DS1 is the same age as mine. I was debating whether to get just one for DS2 or one for both of them?

I like that sorting pie but my kids are still terrible with anything with small pieces (even at 4.5 and 2.5!). Hmmm...i wonder if this will be different...
