Mirena removed- 1st period ridiculously heavy! Help!

The only thing I liked about the Mirena was that it lightened my heavy periods. I got it out on Monday and started my period on Thursday. It has alternated between gushing, clotting, bleeding through my clothes 1 hr after a super plus tampon went in to barely anything at all.

How long have others experienced post Mirena bleeding to death? We have a wedding tonight and I'm terrified to start gushing blood all over the dance floor! Any advice? Has anyone tried raspberry leaf tea? How quickly does that work?

Haven't tried any remedies...but after mine came out I have bled like a stuck pig. I could t handle the hormones in The mirena. I loved not having a period but soon as it was out I was back to bleeding horribly.

I know this is too late to help this AF most likely, but next cycle try drinking peppermint tea daily. I have really heavy periods that last 7-8 days (since having DS1) and this cycle I started drinking a strong cup of peppermint tea once or twice a day and my period was completely finished on day 5! I only had a half day of heavy bleeding which has never happened (usually 2 full days). At first I was just drinking the peppermint tea from TJ's and using 2 tea bags per cup to make it strong enough, but then I ordered this super strong peppermint tea from Amazon that is for people with IBS. I steep it for 10 minutes and add a little heavy cream to it! The tea bags are huge!
