Default Dude ranch in Durango, Colorado

We're looking to visit one next August. I have narrowed it down to these three. Any opinions/advice?

    Wilderness Trails Ranch

    Majestic Dude Ranch

    Colorado Trails Ranch

DS will be (just) 10, and DD will be 6 1/2. We are planning stay only 3 nights instead of the standard week. We will be driving from SoCal, so a whole week will be too much for us.

    Thanks!

My husbands family had a family reunion at Colorado Trails, but it was about 10 years ago. We loved it. They had great horses to ride for all levels or experience. A bunch of the guys did fly fishing. The staff was great. I'm sure a lot has changed since we were there though.

I hope you get some good reviews. I would love to do this in a couple years when DS6 is old enough for a real trail ride. I think I may actually be able to get extended family to go also.

There is a great place outside of Jackson Wyoming. My brother wrangled there for a season and a friend stayed there. She loved it because she rented a car and could go to town to shop or whatever. I forget the name--I can check for it though. He also wrangled for the 9 1/4 Circle between Bozeman, MT and West yellowstone. That is a great place to really get away from it all. Depends on on what you want.
