Btw I bought this and also thought it would look good. I looked like a clown. It was not subtle and looked oddly orange-y and bubblegum at the same time. Not good.

Stila's lip glaze sugar plum would be a good one to try. I'm a dark blonde, but also very pale and it's what I use and I love it. it's described as a sheer nude plum.

Thanks, Binkandabee. I'll have to check that out. And Mackmama, a tried and true review is worth its weight in gold.

Piglet, that gal totally has my coloring! I'm going to bookmark her blog. I like the Revlon color (Pink in the Afternoon) in the link you provided. Anything under $10 sounds great to me.

What about Dior lipglow? It is a different neutral/natural color based on your own body chemistry and PH. It's supposed to be beautiful! I haven't tried it solely because it's a splurge, but I have a few friends who use it and it is their go-to lipstick.

I was just going to suggest this. I love it. Worth every penny.

I am always asked what lip color I'm wearing.

Bobbi Brown "Blue Raspberry" The best color ever!! I buy it 3, 4, 5 tubes at a time. Love it!

I'm fair with blonde highlights and prefer neutral, subtle makeup. One of my go to for lips is MAC twig. It's a long wear matte. I'm also a huge Dan of Red Apple Lipstick's strawberry lips. It's a subtle everyday red. Adore it.

I'm not blond but fair skinned and I wear Sonia Kushak barely nude all the time.

MAC Twig is a good color too. I'm just not a fan of the way that MAC lipstick smells. I'm weird, I know.
