Hunter sizing

I just received 2 pairs of hunters (I went with kids bc women's were too tall on me) in the mail today and am torn about which size to keep. The smaller size fits comfortably (with thick socks too) but is hard to get off. The larger size feels ok but my feet slosh around a little in them some without thick socks. But I am able to get those off much more easily. Which pair would you keep?

I'd keep the bigger ones, reason being that I purchased these cheap shearling insoles from amazon to make mine cozy in the winter ;-)
