    Default Narrow necked bottles?

Everyone seems to prefer the wide-necked bottles, but DD2 has always had a lousy suck, which means 1) we had to give up on BFing quite early on and 2) she even struggles with breast shaped bottles?! We always have to stick tissues under her chin since she dribbles so much milk out! I have tried Avent, Born Free and Tommy Tippee, with Avent being slightly better. Her best bottle is currently a weird one - Medela bottle from the pump and an Enfamil nipple for the ready to feed bottles. (http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/enfamil-.../6000084300950)

I want to try some new narrow bottles - any suggestions? Or any wide-necked bottles that I should consider? She isn't colicky (thankfully) and isn't too picky on bottles.

Try dr browns. My DD2 had a hard time with the wide mouth and with nursing. The dr browns narrow worked for her until she got a bit older. I pumped for 6 weeks and then tried nursing again and she was able to nurse but still no luck with my favorite bottle, the playtex drop in. We see a developmental specialist for other reasons and I mentioned it. She said to try a faster flow, so I moved up to the medium flow nipples of a wide mouth bottle, the playtex drop ins. Lo and behold, it worked.

Ditto on Dr. Brown's narrow. Ds2 had serious issues with feeding for a loooooong time and did that same milk leaking out of the mouth thing. I think he couldn't latch on well. He could only manage Dr. Brown's with a level 1 nipple until he was very old. He found Avent too challenging even as a toddler.

The reason I hated Dr. Brown's narrow was because they were narrow & switching between them and the breast interfered with my DD's latch.

But, they are great bottles and I wish they'd worked out for us!
