DS saw everything from a young age. Star Wars, HP, LOTR (not ROTK, we previewed it and the Smeagol bits were too intense), Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire edition), POTC... I'm talking little, four years old.

He's a quiet kid but nerdy. He loves fantasy and sci-fi, so that sort of action/intensity never made him shrink away. It'll be interesting to see how it goes with DD.

Nope! The trailer scared DD so bad that she hid behind DH in the theater and then asked to leave the recent Muppet movie.

Yes, we saw the trailer at Frozen and younger DD didn't even want to stay in the movie. I had to talk her into staying!!

    Not for a million dollars.

I voted "6-10" since there's no "five years old" option, just under five, and 6-10.

Yes, we will see Maleficent. My DDs do not scare easily with movies, but they are older (9 and 10).

Heck no, but my oldest is only 4. I just know he'd be so scared of it. I believe he saw the trailer and said he doesn't want to see it (lol) bc it's scary.

If he was 8 though it may be a different story.

I think i might go see it myself though.

DD really, really wants to see it. She's 7.5. I'm not sure whether we will or not.

No way (but DD is only 5)

I saw the special 3D sneak preview at Disneyland last week and it was pretty dark and scary. Angelina did a great job playing the dark wicked witch. The way she walked, talked, heck even the music was scary (like from a horror movie). No way no way

I don't think DD has any interest in it, and she may have commented on the previews being "too scary".

Since one just does not simply walk into Mordor, I say we form a conga line and dance our way in.
Excuse me, are you in a play?
