Dr. Lorna Wing - R.I.P.
Dr. Lorna Wing past away on Friday, at the age of 85. She will be missed.
Dr. Wing was a groundbreaking autism researcher. She rediscovered the lost work of Hans Asperger and brought his research to the attention of both doctors and the public. She coined the term "Aspergers Syndrome" and developed the concept that autism is a spectrum disorder. She developed tools for clinical assessment and advocated for more services for people with autism.
Her obituary is here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obit...-obituary.html
Rest in peace, Dr. Wing, and thanks.
