I am looking into venues a few of which are hotels. According to the book, it seems like good advice not to say you are having a wedding to avoid up-charging. However, how do you find out about what they might charge for a hotel room block? What if they up the price on you later when they find out it is a wedding? Also, if you want to ask about a ceremony, I am assuming you have to tell them at that point.
