We are thinking of renting a house with another family for next summer. Children would range in age from 1 to 8. We are looking for an outdoorsy location -- near a forest/mountain/ocean for lots of outdoor/nature activities. If the ocean is too cold to swim in we would rather do lake/forest/mountain. In general, having some access to water even a pool is a must-have with our kids.
Are there any regions, locations, destinations or places you all would rec?
