    Default Stinky Lunchbox help

DS has a Garnet Hill lunchbox that matches his bookbag. It's gotten sour smelling from his thermos leaking a bit of milk now and then. Has anyone ever thrown one of those lunchboxes in the washing machine? There's nothing wrong with it, other than the smell, so I'd to just keep it vs. get new. Wiping it out w/ a wet cloth isn't helping much. TIA!

Yes you can wash it! I run ours in a delicate cycle with no soap then air dry-good as new!

If the washing doesn't get rid of the smell, soak it with baking soda and water - that always has gotten rid of the sour milk smell for me.

Throw some vinegar in the wash water. Pretreat/rinse with Dawn/baking soda/vinegar/water. If this fails, sometimes lunch boxes just have to go.
