Default Weighed with diaper on during wellness check up

We went for DS' 9 month check up today. We've switched provider and today was the first time we went to the new clinic and new peds for wellness check up. I usually was asked by nurse to strip the baby down to diaper and then remove diaper before weighing in the past at other clinics .
Today though, the nurse asked me to leave the diaper on and DS' diaper was clearly soaked. They have this scale that looks like a reclined "chair" so I just need to sit DS on the chair instead of laying him down on the scale like the usual conventional infant scale, which is nice, but with weighing with diaper ? I didn't think about it much until I got home and I realized his weight may not be true weight. I thought the common practice for weight accuracy is to weigh baby naked without diaper ?

We've been to 3 different pediatric offices, and no one has ever asked to weigh a naked baby. I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think a fully soaked diaper is going to weigh more than a pound anyways, and since your DS is 9 months already, it's not as if a few ounces here and there is going to make a huge difference (unless he's off the height/weight scale in some way). If your new doctor didn't have any particular concerns about his growth, I'd be OK with it.

We have only used the one office, but are always asked to take the diaper off.

Our ped weighs with diaper on. I don't think even a full diaper would weigh enough to make much of a difference.

Mere ounces. I wouldn't worry. They will be tracking the weight with diapers going forward so their gauge for growth won't be affected.

That liquid was either INSIDE the baby our OUTSIDE the baby depending on which second it is... I don't think it really matters that much.

My girls were weighed naked. I think it's more important when babies are younger and they want to make sure baby is thriving. I wouldn't worry about it now. And wellyes is right, if they'd weighed him 10 minutes earlier, the pee would be inside him, so it is only the diaper weight that's added, and it ways only a few ounces. If your baby isn't at risk of being underweight, I wouldn't worry.

We always did diaper off. But at 9 months, I wouldn't be terribly concerned about it. New born baby, yes, big deal, 9 month old not really. My 2 year old gets weighed on a regular scale like a grown up now. She only takes off her shoes and she is still in a diaper. The weight of a 2 year isn't that big of deal unless you are in ftt situation
