Default how do you clean baby toys?

I have several brand new fabric-type baby toys and books that im not sure how to clean--the tags just say wipe with a damp cloth but that doesnt seem like it gets it clean enough for my LO to be chewing on!

I toss them into a mesh bag & run through the washer and dryer as long as they haven't got electronics.

I'm not a germaphobe, but was very determined to stay out of the hospital with DD due to her other health issues.

    Haven't lost a toy yet!

Unless it's been on a the floor of an airplane or target, I don't clean baby toys.

ETA: I do clean toys that have fallen in the toilet or have gotten something gross or messy on them.

Fabric toys can absolutely go in a mesh bag or pillowcase and go in the washing machine on a cold water cycle.
