Default Days 13 and 14: Organize your house in 40 days!

This gets us to today. I am still somewhere in week 1 . I've had a couple days of not feeling well, so have just done the basics.

I've done a few things from my list. Yesterday I went through all of the kids clothes to see what fit, what would go to the JBF sale, and what we still needed. DD3 is able to wear both 4 and 5 right now, so she has a HUGE double wardrobe from DD2. I was surprised to find several pairs of jeans for DD2, so I was able to skip my planned shopping trip to buy jeans this weekend! I'm hoping to find a few long sleeve dresses and a light jacket for DD2 at the JBF sale to fill in the gaps.

I have also organized the pantry and kitchen cabinets, and I blew all of the leaves out of the garage.

Rereading my list energized me this afternoon when I had a sick kid at home and couldn't go upstairs to continue my planned work. Instead, for day 13, I cleaned off the office desk. The papers haven't been sorted, but I made some process!

Day 14 The trusty labelmaker (similar to this, goes on sale at staples for $10 http://www.staples.com/Brother-PT-H1...nalize=certona ) helped me label the kids' drawers. The effort wasn't really for the DC as much as it was for DH who has never known where anything goes, despite having the same stuff in the same drawers for 6+ YEARS.

Labeled mine too, so he can put my clothes away when he folds them (so, really I shouldn't complain about him not knowing where the kids' clothes go..)

Days 13 & 14 done - I washed all the boys' old clothes (this took more than one day because I had some major stain fighting to do to salvage some of the baby clothes). I also put all the clothes into the nursery (which involved 2 trips to Target over the past week to get additional hangers).

This has SO been me!!! Hilarious, but I think I've been back there 3 times to get 2 more packs of hangers! And...I still need another pack, I think.

My older DC's t-shirts get so messy looking when stuffed in a drawer. Is it crazy to hang them up now that they are 7&8 years old?

I still hang them for my 5 yo, and fully anticipate I'll still be doing it at 7&8

Why would it be crazy? All my kids shirts are hanging in their closets. They put them up themselves. DS2 has a lower bar so he can reach, but the others are fine with the regular one
