MIL coming for Christmas.
For those of you playing along at home, that's the THIRD visit this year. (April, August, Christmas). Oh and we went to her last Thanksgiving.
Bright side: only two weeks. Dec 21-Jan 4.

You are better woman than I, two weeks would be enough for the whole year. More than enough. Ugh.
My condolences. Seriously, though, that is very kind of you to host her (anyone, really!) for 2 weeks!

I feel your pain. The ILs will drop for Thanksgiving and then again for New Year's. That will be 9 (count 'em!) Visits this year (plus one visit to their house). Last year it was 10 plus one, but the winter weather slowed 'em down this year.
That said, we have a strict four night maximum and it usually is three (unless DH and I head out of town). There is no world where I can tolerate them more than four nights in a row (and that is pushing it).

Oh sweet God.
Where are you? I'll send you wine. Or gin. Or whiskey. Anything to keep you out of jail on charges of Understandable Homicide.

Life is too short to wear boring socks.
Wow, I would have LOTS of activities lined up for the kids. There is no way in hades I would spend all day home alone with kids out of school and her. (where is the run screaming down the street smiley?)

Tell her you would love it if she could make quilts for the girls' beds. And yours. And the guest room. And for the dog (or neighbor's dog). Chain her to that sewing machine and don't let her up except to eat and relieve herself.
