Default What age to begin with a straw cup?

At what age is a child typically able to learn to use a straw cup? We're skipping the sippy. I can't remember when we started with DD1, because it was in conjunction with OT.

I think we started offering around 9 mos or so. We didn't do sippy either. IIR, both DC took to the straw pretty quickly.

We didn't do a traditional sippy cup and instead started with the straw cup at 6 mo.
