Default What treats are you baking?

Getting ready to do some baking with (and without) the DC. I've got the famous BBB saltine/toffee/choc concoction on my list, fudge with pecans, a s'mores fudge, snowball cookies and sugar cookies to decorate with the kids. What are you all baking??

I've already made fudge, M&M cookies and ginger cookies that DD took to her teachers. I also made the saltine/Christmas bark, but my batch didn't turn out. I tried to combine recipes because I couldn't remember which one I had used in the past and I think that just messed things up. Plus, I think that I used a larger pan than I have in years past.

So, I'd like to make a new batch of bark but I need to figure out a single fool-proof recipe!

All Christmas Crack, all the time, LOL. I've made 6 pans already. I think I need to do two more, maybe 4. I give pretty much all of it away, people love/hate me for it, LOL!

    Here's the recipe I use.

    Christmas Bark

    Makes approx 40 pieces

    1 sleeve saltine crackers

    1 cup butter

1/2 cup light brown sugar

    12oz semi-sweet choc morsals

    1 cup chopped pecans

, toasted

    1. Preheat oven to 350

2. Place crackers in one layer on parchment-lined baking sheet (with sides)

    3. Melt butter and brown sugar in medium saucepan. Cook for 3 mins, stirring constantly

    4. Pour butter-sugar mixture over the crackers, spread evenly

    5. Bake for 15 mins
(NOTE: watch closely, if I'm using convection oven it's more like 12min.)
    6. Remove from oven and sprinkle with choc morsals. When they start to melt, spread evenly over entire layer of crackers

    7. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top

8. Refrigerate 1 hr
 or more
    9. Remove from frige and crack into pieces

97 chocolate crinkles done on Thursday, White Velvet Cutouts done today (thank you, Lori, for the recipe), on to gingerbread men tonight! Still hoping to make spiced pecans by Wednesday.
