Thanks for all the suggestions. I finally got it open by taking out one of the carseats, pulling down half of the back seat, and blasting the heat for about 20 minutes. What a relief!

Pour a pitcher of hot water on it.

I've used a can of de-icer which they sell for windshieds. I've sprayed it in door jambs, locks and wipers too. Can't say I know what's in the stuff, but it seems to have a more oily residue (that washes away) and does not re freeze like water would do.
I've even had my parking brake freeze while on... Making the car undrivable until it warms up.
I was going to say that I thought they sold a de-icing product at automotive shops. Oooooh here are some good tips! http://www.wikihow.com/Open-Frozen-Car-Doors

FYI- I bought the de-icer at target! Made by prestone, comes in a spray can with a scraper on the end for windshields.
I would just move.
Glad you got it opened, but I was more excited to see another SLP on the boards, we get lots of speech and language questions on here and niccig and myself are always happy to answer them but another SLP is a great resource.

I think vinegar is supposed to work, as a future FYI. 2/3 water, 1/3 vinegar
