I realize this is an older thread but I'm researching this issue now as we gear up to go back to school. What about putting the smoothie in a pre chilled funtainer? That's what I was thinking of doing for my DD (who also resists fruit and veggies unless in a smoothie ). Then she could open it up and drink with a straw. Has anyone tried this?

Default Homemade frozen fruit smoothies in kid lunches?

Looking for ideas here too- my 6yo broke his jaw this week, and I'm giving him applesauce in a baby food reusable pouch. Thinking about smoothies this way too. Wondering if putting a frozen one in the lunchbox would work!
