We got an official NLD/NLVD (non verbal learning disability) diagnosis for DS2 today. I knew he was "at risk" and really after a bunch of research felt that was the best fit for him ... that said I am still sad. It is a long road.

I am very sorry. At least with the proper diagnosis, schools will have a better sense of direction.
Aww, big hugs!! There is absolutely nothing in this world harder than watching helplessly while our children struggle. I hope you are able to find services and exceptional people to help you both make the best of this!

I'm sorry. I know how much it stinks, even when you expect it and know it's true. It's just hard.

Even though you suspected/expected it for long time. It's ok to still grieve for a bit. We already know what a great mom you are just from pushing for the testing, coordinating the testings and endless meetings! At least you know what to do in terms of game plan for DS2. Be kind to yourself....hugs.

I'm sorry, I think this is always hard, even if you suspected it. I hope that he can get the services that he needs, now that he has an official diagnosis.
