Now that you've had some time to process it, I hope you are feeling better about the diagnosis. Personally, I found having an official diagnosis to be a great relief, because it opened new doors for services and supports and it provided us with a general roadmap of what to do next.
I hope that along with the official diagnosis you got a detailed report. Make sure that you share any new information with the school and update the IEP or 504 plan accordingly.
